DALI (Singapore) – collision with bridge – update 2 April 2024
Further to our initial report in relation to the above captioned incident it has been reported that the Owners and Operators of the DALI, have filed a petition in the Federal Court of Maryland to limit their liability for claims arising from the allision with the Francis Scott Key Bridge to US$43.7m, being the estimated value of the DALI after Salvage and repair costs.

New Casualty – DALI (Singapore) – Allision with bridge 27 March 2024
We have learned of an incident involving the vessel DALI, a Singapore flag, 2015 built, 95,128 gt, fully cellular containership, which struck Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA, in the early hours of 26th March 2024. The Key Bridge, as it is known, is the world’s third-longest continuous truss bridge.

We have received notification that the above-mentioned vessel grounded while departing from Fuzhou on 22 September 2018.

Whilst this vessel was plying between ports in the far east, it could have been serving as a feeder vessel and have containers coming from or going to anywhere in the world.

If you have insured cargo onboard this vessel and W E Cox Claims Group may be of assistance in any way, including provision of Salvage and/or General Average securities, arranging surveys, adjusting potential losses or undertaking recovery action, please do not hesitate to contact us.
