New Casualty - EVER LOVELY - Projectile Strike

W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the EVER LOVELY, a Singapore Flag, 101,063GT, 8,488TEU, fully cellular containership, which was struck by a projectile on its starboard side near Dahit, Oman, whilst transiting the Strait of Hormuz enroute to Port Klang, Malaysia.
It is understood that although the projectile caused minor damage to the bridge of the EVER LOVELY, there were no casualties nor cargo damage. The EVER LOVELY is currently continuing her voyage to Malaysia.
The EVER LOVELY is owned by Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Private Limited and managed by Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan) Limited. Prior to being stranded inside the Persian/Arabian Gulf since February 2026, the EVER LOVELY operated in Evergreen Marine’s trading route between Asia and the Middle East.
As a result of this casualty, cargo deliveries may be delayed. The situation may also give rise to General Average that will require Cargo interests to provide General Average security prior to cargo being released at destination.
