CASUALTY NOTICE

Incident: Container fall / water Ingress

 

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel HONG KONG EXPRESS, a Germany flag, 2013 built 142,295gt fully cellular containership. It is reported that a container fell from its gantry during cargo operations at South Container Terminal, Jeddah Islamic port, causing damages to several containers onboard the vessel and the ballast tank plating, resulting in ingress of ballast water into the hold. Cleaning of cargo and hold is in progress.

It is understood that the Vessel had previously called at China, Russia and South Korea.
