We understand that a salvage vessel has managed to establish an emergency connection with the car carrier, FREMANTILE HIGHWAY, which is reportedly in controlled position. According to the Coast Guard spokesman, the emergency connection is necessary to maintain control over where the vessel is going. We have been advised that an LOF salvage agreement has been signed between Owners and Smit/Multrahsip for the salvage of the vessel.
