Incident Date:   9th June 2025

Vessel:                 WAN HAI 503

IMO No.:             9294862

Type:                   Fully Cellular Containership

Incident:             Fire

W.E. Cox have been appointed by Cargo interests and our investigation to date reveals that the owners of the WAN HAI 503 have engaged professional Salvors (T&T Salvage) on LOF terms (with SCOPIC) and that the Salvage services are ongoing. We understand that Singapore, Jebel Ali (UAE) and Hambantota (Sri Lanka) may be potential ports of refuge for the vessel.

Given the above, Cargo interests will need to provide Salvage Security prior to cargo being released at destination.

Please note that the owners of the WAN HAI 503 have yet to declare General Average.
