We have learned of an incident involving a fire onboard the vessel CCNI ARAUCO, a Liberia flag, 2015 built, 95,138gt fully cellular containership, during discharge in the port of Hamburg, having previously loaded cargo at Indian, Saudi Arabian and Egyptian ports.

Local media reported that welding work on a container was the cause of the fire, which continued to take hold and more than a hundred firefighters were deployed according to Hamburg’s fire brigade.
