FU SHENG HAI

We have learned of a new incident involving the vessel FU SHENG HAI, a 1993 built, 31,643gt Bulk Carrier, on a voyage from China to Busan, Korea.

The vessel, laden with 40,000mt Plywood and Steel Products ran aground near Saeng Do Island whilst approaching Busan Anchorage. As a result the port side ballast tanks were noted with leaks, although no oil spill or pollution has been reported.

The vessel remains aground and W.E. Cox are monitoring the situation to determine whether salvage services are rendered and under what terms. We will keep you advised of developments, but in the event that you are involved with any cargo on board, we would be delighted to receive your instruction to investigate the circumstances of the incident and provide securities for General Average and or Salvage as appropriate.
