GRAND AMANDA

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel GRAND AMANDA, a Hong Kong flag, 2011 built, 43,501gt Bulk Carrier, laden with Iron Ore, on a voyage from Mobile to Ghent.

The vessel experienced engine problems during anchoring manoeuvres off Port of Teneuzen and ran aground. Unable to repair the main engine at sea, shipowners contracted Multraship Salvage BV and URS Nederland BV under Lloyd’s Open Form to return GRAND AMANDA to her anchor position as “dead ship”.

If you are aware of any involvement in this casualty and W E Cox Claims Group may be of assistance in any way, including provision of GA / Salvage securities, we would be pleased to hear from you.
