We have learned of an incident involving the vessel GUO YU JIU HAO (aka GUOYU NO.9), a PRC flag, 2005 built, 5,300gt bulk carrier, operating between Chinese ports.

The vessel was reported to have run aground at Ma’anshan and remains stranded, listing to port side with water ingress through a breach in the hull. Local Maritime Safety Agency are arranging salvage operations, the nature and scope of which have yet to be determined, although we are advised that cargo is being transhipped onto another bulk carrier, namely WAN HUO SHAN 69.
