We have learned of an incident involving the vessel MAERSK LONDRINA, a Hong Kong flag, 2012 built, 89,505gt Fully Cellular Containership, on a laden voyage with containerised cargo from Malaysia to Brazil, having previously called at ports in South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Singapore, when a fire broke out in one of the cargo holds.

MAERSK LONDRINA is being escorted by two other merchant vessels into Port Louis, Mauritius, where the situation will be assessed in terms of any further firefighting operations and possible declaration of GA.
