We have learned of the recent incident involving the vessel NAGATO REEFER a 2000 built 7,367gt Reefer, which is reported to have grounded off The Needles, Isle of Wight, UK.

The vessel was en route from Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Portsmouth at the time of the incident and suffered ingress of water into Hold 3.

Lloyds Open Form Salvage Agreement was signed with Nippon/Smit.

The extent of the salvage services have yet to be clarified and the level of demand has yet to be established. It is also yet to be determined if GA may be declared.
