NECKAR HIGHWAY / BALTIC BREEZE

We have learned of a new incident involving the vessels NECKAR HIGHWAY and BALTIC BREEZE, which suffered a collision in Pierre Vandamme Lock, Zeebrugge.

NECKAR HIGHWAY is a Cyprus flag, 1999 built, 9,233gt vehicle carrier, on a voyage from Grimsby to Malmo.

BALTIC BREEZE is a Singapore flag, 1983 built, 29,979gt vehicle carrier, on a voyage from Zeebrugge to Sheerness, having previously called at Vigo.

It is reported that the NECKAR HIGHWAY berthed at Zweese Quay, while BALTIC BREEZE was taken under tow by Smit Lion and Smit Kiwi.
