We have learned of an incident involving the vessel BBC KWIATKOWSKI, an Antigua & Barbuda flag, 6,115gt, 2008 built, general cargo ship with container capacity, which ran aground off Montreal-East, Quebec, en route from Port Colborne, Canada, to Antwerp, Belgium, but with a scheduled stopover in Montreal.
Tug OCEAN PIERRE JULIEN arrived at the scene, on the south side of St. Lawrence River near Dufault Island, part of the Iles de Boucherville, during the morning of 20th December to assist with refloating operations.
