DALI (Singapore) – collision with bridge – update 2 April 2024
Further to our initial report in relation to the above captioned incident it has been reported that the Owners and Operators of the DALI, have filed a petition in the Federal Court of Maryland to limit their liability for claims arising from the allision with the Francis Scott Key Bridge to US$43.7m, being the estimated value of the DALI after Salvage and repair costs.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel DALI, a Singapore flag, 2015 built, 95,128 gt, fully cellular containership, which struck Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA, in the early hours of 26th March 2024. The Key Bridge, as it is known, is the world’s third-longest continuous truss bridge.

NEW CASUALTY – BEAUMAIDEN – GROUNDING

Type: General Cargo with Container Capacity

Incident: Grounding & LOF

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel BEAUMAIDEN, a Netherlands flag, 2,545gt, 2008 built, general cargo vessel, which ran aground off Ronne, Denmark, en route from Brunsbuttel to Tallinn, having previously called at ports in UK and Antwerp.

After initial attempts to refloat the vessel were unsuccessful, Multraship Salvage BV and Smit Salvage BV were contracted under Lloyd’s Open Form dated 20^th October. BEAUMAIDEN has now been refloated and is currently moored at Ronne.
