Incident:             Capsized & Loss of Containers

 

We have learned of an incident involving the Vessel MAYA, a Japanese flagged, 2008 built, 749gt general cargo ship with container capacity.

The 200teu vessel coastal feeder ship operated by Imoto Lines capsized at Tokuyama Shimomatsu Port during cargo operations 31st July 2022. The Vessel is currently resting on the seabed with at least 100 containers entering the water.

Significant cargo damage and delays ae anticipated.
