We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ONE HAMMERSMITH, a Panama flag, 98,747gt, 2009 built, full cellular containership which suffered engine failure North West of Ushant Island, France. Professional Salvors have been contracted under LOF terms who have taken the Vessel under tow.

The container Vessel has a capacity of 8,212teu and is operated by ONE on their FP1 service. She had previously called at Japanese Ports and Singapore en-route to Europe.

We are advised that the Vessel is scheduled to arrive at Rotterdam this weekend and that cargo owners will be required to provide Salvage Security before delivery of cargo will be allowed. In order to avoid delays in cargo delivery it is highly recommended that W.E. Cox be appointed at the earliest opportunity.
