W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the SEALLOYD ARC, a Panamanian Flag, 4,339GT, 115m, general cargo vessel, which capsized and sank near Phuket, Thailand on 7th February 2026 after severe water ingress whilst sailing from Port Klang, Malaysia.

We understand that the SEALLOYD ARC had a crew of 16 members and was carrying about 200 containers, 14 of which contained hazardous materials.

The SEALLOYD ARC is owned by Sea Lloyd Shipping Lines Private Limited and managed by Daishan Zhong Chang Marine Company Limited. She traded along various ports in Asia.

As a result of this casualty, cargo interests will look to pursue Recovery Claims for their cargo losses.
