New Casualty - Wilson Skaw - Grounding

Incident Date:    18th April 2023

Vessel:                Wilson Skaw

IMO No.              8918459

Type:                   General Cargo Vessel

Incident:             Grounding

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel WILSON SKAW, a Barbados flag, 4197 gt, 1996 built, general cargo vessel, which ran aground on the 18th of April 2023 in Hunafloi, Iceland.

The general cargo vessel is operated by Wilson EuroCarriers AS and had previously called at Bari, Italy. It is understood that the Vessel has been holed with ensuing water ingress and that divers will be inspecting the Vessel prior to any re-floating attempts. As a result of this incident it is highly likely that there will be delays to cargo delivery and cargo owners might be required to provide securities before delivery of cargo.
