We have learned of an incident involving the vessel X PRESS KAILASH, a Singapore flag, 28007 gt, 2008 built,  containership, which reportedly caught fire in the engine room on the 3rd of October 2023 approximately 25 NM west-south-west of Karwar, India.

The container vessel with a capacity of 2700teu is managed by Sea Consortium Pte Ltd Xpress Feeders and had previously called at Shanghai, Shekou, Tanjung, Jebel Ali before sailing to Hazira, India.

As a result of this incident it is highly likely that there will be delays to cargo delivery and cargo owners might be required to provide securities before delivery of cargo.
