We have learned of an incident involving the vessel PAUL RUSS, an Antigua & Barbuda flag, 2010 built, 16,137gt fully cellular container ship, on a voyage from Davao to Saipan Island, via Hong Kong, Kaohsiung and Guam, having also previously called at ports in USA and Japan.

It is reported that the vessel ran aground off Tanapang Harbour, Saipan Island, from where two tugs were dispatched to stabilise the stern of the vessel.

The cause of the grounding is under investigation.
