We have learned of an incident involving the vessel “ROBUSTO”, a 2006 built 88,930gt bulk carrier loaded with 163,000 tonnes of iron ore from Narvik in Norway.

The Vessel ran aground at the approach to the Port of Alexandria, Egypt, and was unable to re-float using her own power. Salvage operations have been commenced with Five Oceans Salvage SA under the terms of Lloyd’s Open Form and upon completion of salvage services the Vessel will be docked at El Dekheila, Alexandria for inspections.
