We have learned of an incident involving the vessel SANTA ROSA, a Singapore flag, 1992 built, 21,053gt fully cellular containership, on a voyage from Jebel Ali to Karachi.

It is reported that SANTA ROSA ran aground in Iranian waters, where she remains following failed attempts by vessel owners to free her.

Salvors Mubarak Overseas (LLC) UAE have now been contracted to refloat the vessel and move her to a safe place around Dubai or to an agreed port of safety outside Iranian territory.
