VICTORIA

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel “VICTORIA”, a 2004 built 17,188gt fully cellular container ship. Having previously called at Antwerp, BRU, and intending to steam to Fredericia, DEN, the vessel ran aground to the North West of Funen.

It is reported the grounding ruptured ballast and fuel tanks however; the extent is currently unknown as divers efforts to survey the hull have been hampered by local conditions. There are currently fears of leakage of heavy fuel oil and local authorities have mobilised anti-pollution ships.

If W.E. Cox Claims Group can be of any assistance in arranging surveys, adjusting potential losses or undertaking recovery, please do not hesitate to contact us.
