W.E. Cox 30th Annual Golf Day!

W.E. Cox hosted their 30th Annual Golf Day and for the 25th year running, they entertained their clients and friends at the beautiful Gatton Manor Golf and Country Club near Dorking in Surrey.

As always, the event was very well supported with golfers of various abilities from within the Marine Cargo Market (and friends) joining the fun and festivities. The event has become a two day / two night marathon; on the Tuesday we had to dodge the showers but it made for a great picture of the rainbow over the 16th green but the hosts were delighted that the sun shone on the righteous on Wednesday, the actual Golf Day, as although rain threatened many times, it never actually fell and we had a beautiful day mostly blessed with sunshine.

Once again we asked our guests to help us in raising cash for the worthwhile charity that we support, the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, and I am delighted to say that thanks to the huge generosity of our clients, friends and staff members, we managed to raise a total of £3,770.00 for the charity.

Special thanks to our clients who kindly donated prizes for the raffle / auction and, to Gatton Manor for having donated a weekend break for four as one of the auction items.

Once again, a huge thank you to every client, friend and staff member, who dug deep into their pockets to help us earn such a huge amount of money for such a worthwhile cause.
