We have learned of an incident involving the vessel “GUNHILDE MAERSK”, a 2008 built 98,268gt fully cellular container ship. Having previously called at Southern European Ports and transited the Suez Canal the Vessel was en-route to Middle Eastern ports.

It is reported that an engine room fire was discovered whilst the Vessel was sailing off of the coast of Oman and that whilst the fire has been fully extinguished the Vessel has been towed to Salalah, Oman, to establish the extent of the damage.
