On Friday morning of the 5th February, the 2008 German built containership, Vera Rambow, was struck from behind by the 2015 Nordana Sky, in the Kiel Canal. Both vessels have been severely damaged by the impact and have since made their way under own power to safe port – the Vera Rambow to Hamburg. The Vera Rambow is able to carry Class A Hazardous goods.
