We have learned of an incident involving the vessel YM WISH, a Hong Kong flag, 2015 built, 144,651gt Fully Cellular Containership, on a laden voyage with containerised cargo from Hamburg to Rotterdam, having previously called at China, Singapore, Egypt and Greece.

The vessel ran aground after experiencing engine failure at the north tip of the Rhinplate on the River Elbe, off Gluckstadt. Three tugs and multi-purpose ship NEUWEK were called to provide assistance, together with police launch AMERIKAHOFT.

YM WISH is now being towed into Elbe Port for inspection..
