Cox have learnt of an incident involving the HMM PLATINUM, a Liberia Flag, 52,467GT, 5,593TEU, 2013 built, fully cellular containership, enroute from Kattupali, India to Santos, Brazil, which recently suffered a fire on board. The extent of the damage to the HMM PLATINUM and all cargo on board has yet to be determined.

Cox have learned of an incident involving the KMAX EMPEROR, a Liberia Flag, 51,1130GT, 229.5m, 2011 built, bulk carrier, which collided with the TRUE MARINER, a Barbados flag, 23,268GT, 179.97m, 2011 built, bulk carrier, off the Gujarat coast in the Gulf of Kutch, India on the 11th of September 2026.

W.E. Cox have learnt of an incident involving the MSC HERMES III, a Liberia Flag, 27,061GT, 2,496TEU, 2006 built, fully cellular containership, enroute from Shanghai to Jakarta, which issued a distress alert about 300km east of Vietnam on 22nd September 2026.

Cox have learnt of an incident involving the MERCHANT MARINER, a Greece Flag, 94,250GT, 292m, 2010 built, bulk carrier, enroute from Teluk Rubiah, Malaysia to Dung Quat, Vietnam, which ran onto a reef/rock causing water ingress in 3 ballast tanks on her port side near Dung Quat on 18th September 2026,

Further to our initial advice regarding a fire on board the MIN JIANG KOU, a Marshall Islands Flag, 72,255GT, 199.90m, 2024 built, vehicle carrier, we understand that the fire has flared up and that damages are likely to be significant.

W.E. Cox have learnt of an incident involving the CMA CGM PETRA, a French Flag, 74,739GT, 272m, 8,048TEU 2024 built, fully cellular containership, enroute from Singapore to Lamu, Kenya, which suffered a fire in her cargo hold whilst transiting the Strait of Malacca, Malaysia on 23rd August 2026.

Cox have been appointed by Cargo Interests following an incident involving the MAERSK LANCO, a Denmark Flag, 99,792GT, 299.9m, 2013 built, fully cellular containership, enroute from Santos, Brazil to Morocco, which suffered a fire (suspected to have originated in the engine room) about 170 miles off the coast of Brazil on 4th September 2026.

W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the MIN JIANG KOU, a Marshall Islands Flag, 72,255GT, 199.90m, 2024 built, vehicle carrier, enroute from Tianjin, China to Manta, Ecuador, which suffered an engine room fire near Costa Rica’s Pacific coast on 6th August 2026.
