Cox have learned of an incident involving the CNC URANUS, a Malta Flag, 18,870GT, 1,700TEU, 2017 built, fully cellular containership, enroute from China, which suffered a steering failure causing her to strike a red buoy and run aground between a retaining wall and a shallow bank near the mouth of the Karnaphuli River whilst attempting to berth at Chittagong, Bangladesh on 3rd August 2026.

W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the EVER LOVELY, a Singapore Flag, 101,063GT, 8,488TEU, fully cellular containership, which was struck by a projectile on its starboard side near Dahit, Oman, whilst transiting the Strait of Hormuz enroute to Port Klang, Malaysia.

W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the GOLDEN STAR 1, a Tanzania Flag, 1,479GT, 216TEU, general cargo with container capacity vessel, which sank after taking on water in the Singapore Strait near Batam Island, Indonesia on 5th June 2026, whilst en route to Malaysia.

Cox have learned of an incident involving the MAERSK VALPARAISO, a Singapore Flag, 18,326GT, 1,740TEU, 2010 built, fully cellular containership (feeder), which collided with the LADY MARTINA, a Nigeria flag, 452GT, 57m, 1962 built, product tanker, during manoeuvring operations at the Bonny Inner Anchorage, Rivers State, Nigeria, on 20th May 2026. The collision led to the grounding and damaging of both the MAERSK VALPARAISO and the LADY MARTINA.

W.E. Cox have learned of an incident involving the CAPE XL, a Marshall Islands Flag, 92,752GT, 291.98m, 2011 built, bulk carrier, which collided with the HUGE KUMANO, a Panama flag, 107,450GT, 299.99m, 2020 built, bulk carrier, off Singapore on 20th May 2026.

Cox have learned of an incident involving the GINGA BOBCAT, a Panama Flag, 16,452GT, 159.98m, 2010 built, chemical tanker, which allided with the HELIOS, a Marshall Islands flag, 11,311GT, 145.15m, 2011 built, combined chemical and oil tanker, whilst it was moored and loading fuel in Campana, Argentina on 5th May 2026.

Cox have learned of an incident involving the MAERSK CHATTOGRAM, a Singapore Flag, 31,649GT, 2,548TEU, 2016 built, fully cellular containership, which collided with the HR TURAG, a Bangladesh flag, 14,063GT, 1,206TEU, 1999 built, fully cellular containership, whilst enroute to the outer anchorage area at Chittagong, Bangladesh on 1st May 2026.

Cox have learned of an incident involving the KAPPA, a Turkey Flag, 9,940GT, 1,118TEU, fully cellular containership, which suffered an engine failure and steering malfunction causing her to run aground near Yenikoy, Turkey on 27th April 2026, whilst enroute from Novorossiysk, Russia to Izmit, Turkey.

W.E. Cox have been appointed by Cargo interests following an incident involving the EPAMINONDAS, a Liberia flag, 80,942GT, 6,690TEU, fully cellular containership vessel. The EPAMINONDAS was attacked by an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) gunboat and then boarded northeast of Oman in the Strait of Hormuz on 22nd April 2026.
