We have learned of an incident involving the vessel NORTHERN JUPITER, a Portugal flag, 2010 built, 94,407gt fully cellular containership currently operating service between South East Asian and Australian ports, but potentially carrying transhipped cargo to/from anywhere worldwide.

W.E. Cox have been instructed by cargo interests following an incident involving the Vessel AEOLOS a 2001 built 19,882gt Bulk Carrier which suffered rudder failure causing her to drift out of control northeast of Cape Maleas, Greece, 6th January 2020.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel COSCO PACIFIC, a Hong Kong flag, 2008 built, 115,776gt fully cellular containership en route from Port Klang, Malaysia to Jawaharlal Nehru Port, India, having previously called at Singapore on a voyage commencing in China.

We have received the following new casualty report.

Fully cellular containershipAPLMEXICO CITY drifted after breaking its lines at the quay and came into contact with a shore crane, causing it to collapse.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel NORDANA SOPHIE a 1999 built 7,659gt General Cargo Ship which we understand suffered water ingress at Vung Ang Anchorage, Vietnam, overnight 27th/28th November 2019.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel GLOVIS CAPTAIN, a Marshall Islands flag, 2015 built, 59,760 gt vehicle carrier.

It is reported that GLOVIS APTIN lost some of its lashings during a storm in the English Channel, resulting in a shift and damage to its cargo of cars and industrial vehicles. According to local sources, a significant number of badly damaged high and heavy vehicles are being unloaded from the vessel at the port of Southampton. A forklift has been reportedly deployed to remove some of these.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel KIRAN ASYA, a Turkey flag, 2005 built, 39,555gt bulk carrier on 10th September 2019, laden with a cargo of wheat in bulk, on a voyage from Russia to Turkey, when fire broke out during discharge operations at Atakas Port, Iskenderun.
