We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ARCHIMIDIS, a Liberia flag, 89,776 gt, 2006 built, fully cellular containership, which reportedly was disabled and drifting southwest of Acapulco. The vessel is carrying cargoes loaded at various ports in China and Korea, bound for Cristóbal, Savannah, Norfolk and New York.  

Further to our previous advice in relation to the loss of containers and fire on board the 2008 built, 40,030gt fully cellular containership ZIM KINGSTON it has been confirmed that Vessel Owners have declared General Average.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel BEAUMAIDEN, a Netherlands flag, 2,545gt, 2008 built, general cargo vessel, which ran aground off Ronne, Denmark, en route from Brunsbuttel to Tallinn, having previously called at ports in UK and Antwerp.

We have learned of an incident involving the Vessel ZIM KINGSTON, a Maltese flagged, 2008 built, 40,030gt fully cellular containership. Having travelled from Korea and Taiwan and whilst approaching the West coast of Canada lost a number of containers overboard.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ORCHID KEFALONIA, a Marshall Islands flag, 11,570gt, 2008 built, Chemical/Oil Products Tanker, which ran aground en route from Barranquilla to Altamira and Houston.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ALION, a Malta flag, 13,764gt, 2002 built, fully cellular containership, which reportedly ran aground while operating between United Arab Emirates and India. We understand that the vessel was refloated with the assistance of Tsavliris Salvage Group under Lloyd’s Open Form.

We have learned of an incident involving a fire in the engine room of the MSC ELMA, a Madeira flag, 2016 built, 97,805gt fully cellular containership, whilst she was loading and unloading containers at the port of Cristobal in Panama.

We have learned of an incident involving a fire on board the vessel MSC KATRINA, a Panama flag, 2012 built, 140,096gt fully cellular containership, in the Indian Ocean, southwest of Port Elizabeth, en route from Tema to Durban having previously called at USA, China and Singapore.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel PHUC THUAN 36, a Vietnam flag, 1,599gt, 2010 built, bulk carrier, laden with various steel cargoes, which encountered heavy weather en route from Dong Guan to Laem Chabang.
