It is reported that the Panamanian-flagged containership has sunk in the Red Sea nearly a week after a fire broke out in a cargo hold with many containers floating in the area.

We have learned that the vessel TSS PEARL, a Panama flag, 23,633gt, 2008 built, fully cellular containership has suffered a significant fire amongst its containers 5th October 2022.

We have learned of a serious collision involving the Vessels ZEPHYR I, a Panama flagged, 2002 built, 59,719gt crude oil tanker and GSL GRANIA, a Liberia flagged, 2004 built, 83,133 fully cellular containership.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel APL VANDA, a Singapore flag, 2013 built, 169,423gt, fully cellular containership, which encountered severe weather conditions off Djibouti, resulting in a number of containers being lost overboard.

We have learned that the vessel MSC RACHELE, a Panama flag, 90,745gt, 2005 built, fully cellular containership has suffered an explosion and engine room fire 22nd June 2022.

Further to our previous updates regarding the grounding of the EVER FORWARD, a Hong Kong flag, 112,836gt, 2020 built, fully cellular containership which ran aground off the coast of Gibson Island in Chesapeake Bay, we can advise that the vessel has been assessed as seaworthy and will now continue her voyage.
